John deere 522.

I bought this starter to retro-fit on an old John Deere 522 snow blower. It has a HS50 Tecumseh engine. The engine was obviously made to accept the starter. I had to make a few modifications however. The engine block had the two lower mounting holes but they weren’t threaded. I had to tap to accommodate the ¼” screws.The John Deere dealer is the first line of customer parts service.
