Kavik River Camp is nearly as unique as Aikens. Once an oil “man camp,” a friend owned it and asked her several years ago about managing it. She became manager and purchased the camp four years ago. “They were using 250 gallons of fuel a day, but I wanted to be the first ‘green’ camp in oil country,” she said.
