So about $23/hour net total comp. My schedule looks like this a fair number of weeks: Monday 5-10:30, Tuesday and Wednesday 12-3 and 5-9:30, Thursday 5-10:30, Friday 11:30-3 and 5-10 Saturday 4-10 Sunday 4-9. I get a paycheck for like $1700 every other week from the weekday job and like $200 in cash tips once per week.

Depends on what you prioritize. If it's income, I think a couple contenders for servers are higher end fine dining, or busy sports bars, though there are outliers, and income can vary significantly even within those.Just remember to not take slow season personally. You can be the best server in the world and only get 10% during slow season. Keep in mind the recession right now is adding flame to the fire.
