This year we are honoring the bicentennial of Sequoyah's historic achievement that brought widespread literacy to our tribe.

Recently, the tribe began work to repair and relocate a historic cabin in Sequoyah County. The cabin will be moved from the former Tahlonteeskee interpretive site (near Gore, Oklahoma) to its new home at the Sequoyah's Cabin Historic Site north of Sallisaw in an effort to preserve the structure for future generations.
