I launched from the northern end of Fort DeSoto at the Arrowhead picnic area. Paddled in the shallows along the DeSoto shoreline and crossed to Shell Key at Bunces Pass. Was able to avoid a lot of motor traffic and it was a very easy paddle. Probably closer to 2-3 miles out and back from here.
