Looking to ls swap my 94 C3500 NV4500 work truck since the 350 threw a rod. The truck does not have AC so that is one less thing to worry about. So I found a guy a couple hrs away that builds harnesses from scratch for $500. He also does the swaps his self if I was to go that route.A lot of people say to use the 1" set back motor mount adapter plates. I did, and ended up having to drill new holes for the trans cross member 1" behind my original holes. No big deal. Since the swap, I've swapped out my stock exhaust manifolds for the schoenfeld long tube headers for LS swaps into 88-98 pickups (1302LS1 i think is the part ...Tape electrical tape (3M or better: throw away the generic stuff – it flakes off after a year and gets everything sticky) around the base of the two wires tightly. The 4l80e bone stock will handle any abuse a stock 6.0 can throw at it. If not then L96 + 6Lxx tranny, the L96 and 6l90 will probably take more work to integrate, so it'll be more expensive. Find a 5.3L using the same operating system and swap the engine segments. I did that when my buddy put a 6.0L in his truck. It already had an 0411 I had tuned. I swapped the tune from a 5.7L/4L60E to a 6.0L/4L80E. Personally I would go bigger than a 5.3L in truck but that is me.

Since 2500 LSx Suburbans in GMT800 are either (1) sacked out beyond belief, (2) unobtainum priced, or (3) non-existant I'm thinking a GMT400 1/2 Suburban.
