Just most people today wouldn't notice it because most people's PCs are more than able to handle ARK SE with Tether Distance set to say 99 without too many issues. The Host's Computer has to keep track of everything the "OTHER" Players are encountering rather than those objects going into a deep sleep like they do on normal singleplayer.This has to be a deliberate decision on the game developer's part. This can cause game crashes and other issues.
