Happened on my Q50 a few months ago. Rest assured that it will reset itself. Although, it took forever. Like a month and close to 250 miles of driving. I refused to go to the dealer for that as well. In the older Nissan's you could reset it with a paperclip. There is another small plug next to the OBD port that the dealer plugs into.
