Oct 5, 2018 · In my 2000 Suzuki King Quad (300). I use Suzuki brand motorcycle oil, (10W40). However, I would use a thinner viscosity oil like 5W30 during the winter months. Suzuki however does not make a SAE 5W30 viscosity, so you’ll have to find an alternative brand with a similar viscosity that is JASO-MA approved for motorcycles.

Oct 31, 2021 · Turns out it was a 1997 Suzuki Quad Runner 250 4x4. A bike exactly like the one I had as a teenager. I have decided I want to rebuild and restore it as much as possible to what it was rolling off the factory floor. Maybe I am a little bias but I think these were some of the best quads ever built. It does seem to run fine with a little throttle. as soon as i let go it stalls. any help would be great. Thanks,

Oct 28, 2023 · The oil might be fouling the plug. Check the plug for traces of oil or carbon caused by burning oil, and change the plug if it's dirty. EFI engines are quite particular about the plug condition and gap. Smoking at start up is often the valve guides leaking oil down into the cylinder when it's sitting. Take the spark plug out and turn the motor over to see if you have spark a thumb over the spark plug hole will give you an indication if you have at least half way decent compression.
