Kuro no Kiseki is an extremely ambitious game, at least for the Trails series: No other one game in the series has been so different from the one that came before it. It is thus quite unfortunate that it misses the mark in several ways. One of the big sells of Kuro no Kiseki is the new engine, but what difference it makes is questionable.
