The trigger pull on my EC9s was very nice. I don't have a trigger gauge, but its probably 1/2-3/4 the pull of my moderately broken in LCP.Given the same choice, I think I would go with the Taurus. Both the LC9s and EC9s list the finish as "Black Oxide". I suspect the slide is polished a bit more before the finish is applied but I'm just guessing.
