I taped off the 2 holes on each side and the holes on the ends to allow the mycelium to colonize the substrate. This morning I noticed that both of the monotubs have a smell similar to alcohol.

Once the grain is colonized transfer the grain to a mico bag or two of sterilized wood chips. Once the wood chips colonize get yourself a laundry basket.
