The ESS battery is a problem. I suspect it has left more JLs stranded then any other issue. I highly recommend the TOW package for the higher output alternator and higher capacity battery for ESS equipped JLs. The OEM auxiliary battery was 200 CCA size group 12. The only new 200 CCA auxiliary battery I could find was a group size 14, which will not fit down into the auxiliary battery well.
