Jeep wrangler overheating while driving.

There was a lengthy post about 2 or 2-1/2 years ago on 3.6L overheating problems and I contributed my problems from the time I drove it off the lot. I routinely ran 225-240F as I recall with several overheating episodes where I was down on the side of the road. My 99 Wrangler will over heat after about 20 minutes of driving. It will peg the guage very quickly, then after a couple of minutes, the guage will indicate a normal operating temperature. The pushing over the edge comment is probably spot on. An efficient cooling system running in excellent condition will conquer any winch mount that I'm aware of. Your overheat condition seems to be stemming from while the jeep is in motion, as opposed to standing still. I'm willing to guess your severe gearing issue is likely the culprit.

Most likely in the engine block if radiator, hoses and the water pump were changed. That could explain running fine for a time and then clogging up the system and causing the overheating. That is not normal!!!!! Either your engine was overheating, (dash gauge not working properly), or you have a fan sensor issue. Make sure that your coolant overflow bottle has coolant in it. Pull your negative battery cable and leave it off for about 10 minutes. The re-install and see if it happens again.
