Engage the blades and the motor slowed to a crawl and stopped. This was in "normal" length grass.The blade(s) is not sharp. A cutting blade(s) is/are bent. The mower is not level. An anti-scalp wheel is not set correctly. The underside of the mower is dirty. The tire pressure is incorrect. A blade spindle is bent. Sharpen the blade(s). Install a new cutting blade(s). Level the mower from side-to-side and front-to-rear.I bought a Toro Timemaster 30 mower a few weeks back. Many of you suggested that I raise the RPMs to 3600. So I did and it made a big difference. Before if you engaged the blade too fast, it would stall the engine. The mower also cuts tall grass easier, and leaves a better cut. The engine speed with out the blade engaged is 3600-3630 RPM.
