As I stated above, the Air Force has had 8 years to talent manage myself, and has been zero attempts to move me to a role that does actual cyber. Can't speak for 1B4 life, but I know they get way more training and resources than everyone else. RF shred can be useful, I got a pretty good civilian job, but for 1D7 your best bet is Cyber Transport, gets you Sec + cert and networking is a great civilian trade. 1D7 is comm. All 1D7s except for data operations will get a baseline Q shred. Others will get additional training to be an M or W. So cable and antenna will either be Q or W depending on the role. For clarification I’m talking about comm. (1D7X) Cable and Antenna Maintenance, formerly 3D1X7.

Any waps question should be answered from the eprrc each year. During stage 1 they basically just move you from 3dxxx to a shred of 1d7xxx with the same job description.
