Tundra 4lo light flashing.

Jun 25, 2015 · I have had an issue with my Tundra that has been documented since October 2011. Occasionally when I start the vehicle, the 4lo light is flashing accompanied by a beeping alert, the transmission releases into a neutral position and the shift selector becomes essentially useless (you can toggle from Park through each setting including drive and the transmission will not engage). 4lo light flashing HELP!!!!! Then you can stop put the truck in neutral and then puch the 4LO button. The truck will not go into 4LO without first being in 4HI.Put in 4lo and pulled it out. Tried to take it out of 4lo and put in drive to disengage 4wd. Put in drive and engine whined like it was in neutral. Sadly wife got in and pur it back in 2hi. Asking her now and she don't remember. About half the time, the 4WD light doesn't blink, but if I turn off the truck and start it again, it does blink. When I try to engage the 4LO in the cases when the light doesn't blink, the button doesn't have any response.
