Try to get extra dashes from Hermes, maybe some Crit stuff from Artemis. I just had my first spear win with a 100% dash build. Poseidon + Zeus ftw. Achilles Aspect. Dionysus cast and Demeter 1st teir boon, then look for Demeter/Dionusus Duo boon. Throw every pom you find into the cast, ignore everything else.

Poseidon in attack is fun. The sweep passes through walls. Zeus ok special or Ares. Athena on attack is nice during stages with projectile foes but has diminishing use as you progress through bosses. Achilles spear is my favorite. If you like the sweep attack Hades spear will be fun. Hidden aspect is tough to get used to. General rule of thumb is to go Zeus/Dioynsus for fast attacks, Artemis/Aphrodite/Athena for higher base damage attacks, and Ares doom for something in between. So Zeus might be useful for attack (especially if you get the Flurry Jab hammer) and Ares/Zeus for the special. Guan Yu: On Hades spear, Athena's attack is good. On Guan Yu, I think it's mandatory unless you're doing a special-only cheese build, in which case I suggest that you pick a bow instead.
