Jul 13, 2020 · I'v narrowed it down to a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 or the S&W Victory. All of which have a nice 5.5" long barrel that is accurate as ever. I grew up shooting a buckmark, but leaning away from it just reading about the other two; Mark IV 22/45 huge benefit is the easy take down, proven for many years, etc. The main issue here is 'cost'.

For the most part I will use it for target shooting and plinking. Right now I’m trying to decide between the Browning Buck Mark and the Ruger Mark IV but am open to other options. There are also a lot of options available including the new Glock .22, Smith and Wesson recently came out with a reliable 22 pistol as well, but they are rather new.
