A rebuild with good & extra clutches will result in 600-700 crank hp. Some more easy mods and you can build them to hold well over 1000hp.A perfectly tuned, 4 bolt main converted half filled '69 351W block that has high quality lightweight parts in the rotating assembly could probably take somewhere in the neighbohood of 700 n/a hp.
