I like the computer connection better. I started this with the assumption I will eventually get better prints, but alot of reading into this hobby is take it slow and one step at a time. I printed for 2-3 weeks with stock firmware and slicer settings. Now I will go with Klipper and stock Klipper and D34D config.

A hotend PID tuned at 240c may take a little bit longer to equalize at 200c than a hotend PID tuned at 200c will, but it'll likely be negligible for all intents and purposes. Personally, I wouldn't bother with multiple PID tune settings per-filament. Just do a tune for the temperature of whatever materials you print most often and send it.
The log here shows the thread running the PID didn't get CPU time for 450ms, and the log doesn't show Klipper doing anything during that time. In contrast, issue #3316 shows Klipper trying to generate steps when it eventually runs out of time.
