Dont really need any head work, they flow better than PSD heads. The head bolts or studs are a weak point, the heads will lift above 10 or 12 psi in short order. Recently Wes or somebody floated the idea that 7.3 head gaskets were stronger than the 6.9 because of the filled coolant channel.

As Calvin said, drain the oil so the area will be a bit cleaner and you're not fighting the oil trying to escape. Clean up the outside of the hole carefully for better holding and seal. But be careful there in case the surrounding area is weakened. I plugged a hole in my Trooper's radiator top tank years ago with JBW.

One thing to keep in mind, is these engines flow a whole lot more air than a typical Cummins 6BT. The boost number will be lower for a given hp rating. If you're trying to just get 60 pounds of booost, it's going to be a rather big turbo, or 2. (Depending on the tester, it’s gauge, and the fact you have 5k miles on them, perhaps +/- 100psi.) 2) Then apply pressure, perhaps half of pop pressure, to see if they dribble/leak. 3) Injector should mist/spray not stream. I'm heavily considering converting my 94 into a Dually. I was eye'ing those Arrowcraft adapters, are they of good quality? If/when I do this I'll convert over to a flat bed, so I'm not really interested in their fender flares, just the adapters. Advice anyone?
