I admit I don't really understand how this class works, I found the npc in Kingmaker rather confusing. Kineticist feats are just way to fun to skip out on many. Rogue with Kineticist will get a lot of utility from Kineticist. Probably want to avoid the offensive blast, 1 attack + save impulse might be decent though. There are a lot of aura/stances that can add great utility though. There are also tons of defensive abilities to allow you to stay in melee. One of the strengths of Kineticist is how versatile they are.
