As of right now, in my PF2 conversion of Return of the Runelords, our Magus slightly exceeds the Barbarian in DPR (Damage per Round) when they decide to use Spellstrike. So, instead of being a thing that the Magus does every round, Spellstrike has transformed into a big nova button. It's a commodity, not a staple.

So, at level 12, my magus can have 300' range increment and try to crit for 7d12 plus 12d12 from decay plus 2d4+10 persistent from decay plus 1d10 fire from rune. Approx 200 damage average on crit, assuming persistent damage lasts 3 rounds.
