Between Gumbald, Fern, GOLB, and whatever's going on with Jake and the Shape-shifter, I don't really see much room for the Lich in these last few episodes. The only way I could see them fitting him in is if they have Finn go off to fight him in the final scene, to give the series an "And the adventure continues" sort of ending.
