I was once able to buy blood pressure tablets from the pharmacy just off the main church square near Cafe Costa del Sol when my husband forgot his but we always take copies of doctors letters/prescription lists when we go on holiday to prove need and in case of emergencies.They were actually cheaper than a prescription at home !
Fuengirola is underground, and Los Boliches is raised. Both have lifts. Stations at many resorts along the CDS are a long way from the sea, and in the hills. You need to look at one of the train ticket threads for how to get the free travel on the trains. The local buses are cheap and efficient, get a green bus card (you only need one between you) from any Tabac and top it up with €10.
Fuengirola is nice when the sun shines, quieter than Benidorm. Entertainment in Fuengirola is very low key. Few places have a music licence and the police raid now and then. Refreshed by my medicinal Brandies of last night, I awoke a new man. A visit to Plan B for breakfast was followed by a stroll to the Bridge and Castle area. Plan B was fine. Bridge area not so much. There are massive workings on the beach for some distance either side of the river mouth.According to Google Maps both train stations are an 11 minute walk to the Recinto Ferial. Fuengirola Train Station is 50m closer. 1. Re: Good pubs. This hotel is well away from Torremolinos Centre. It's in the Los Alamos area right opposite the beach. Lots of beach bars and chiringuitos in this area. Some of the beach bars open till early morning with music. Bus to Torremolinos outside hotel or Los Alamos train station is a few minutes walk away.
