MOST shavettes just take a normal double edge blade cut/snapped in half, but some shavettes take special blades. Unless you're dropping 100+ dollars on a Feather shavette, normal DE blades should be fine. Yea I normally use a DE. I have been using it for a while and get good shaves.

It does NOT mean that Feather blades are "better". Some shavers experience Merkur blades as far superior. Blades are only more or less suitable for an individual shaver in a given razor. Now learn of your experience and try other blades. You MAY have been so lucky as to have found your best blade on the second try.
